This farmer was harvesting his field with equipment from a bygone era. It reminded me of the old broken-down stuff I used to play on as a kid on the farm. I'll bet my dad could tell you how old this tractor is, but my best guess would be upwards of fifty years, and the harvester even more. And the overalls probably aren't new, either. ;-)

The old-fashioned way
This farmer was harvesting his field with equipment from a bygone era. It reminded me of the old broken-down stuff I used to play on as a kid on the farm. I'll bet my dad could tell you how old this tractor is, but my best guess would be upwards of fifty years, and the harvester even more. And the overalls probably aren't new, either. ;-)

I don't know what it is about this photo but I just love it. The fall colors with the old tractor... maybe it reminds me of my grandpa. I know he was on a tractor just like that one on a farm in Illinois many years ago. It's a great shot, Rachel!
