Steve took Joseph and Elizabeth to college in Nebraska, and Benjamin had his first football game.
Joe and Liz waiting for Steve. They were all packed and ready to go while he was still putzing around. I'd say they were a tad bit eager to get on with it. Who can blame them? Life beckons.
Notice the umbrella in the background? It rained nonstop through the entire game. But Ben (#86) got some good plays and some good experience--along with a new batch of bruises, some very cold toes, and a sopping-wet uniform. His shoulder pads still haven't dried out.

These are big events! Aren't you surprised by the absence of two kids in the family? I'll bet your home feels almost empty. :)
We're about to experience a similar loss with Noah and Johannah both leaving on the same day and Jacob starting FT school next week.

These are both great. I love the colors and action feel in the football picture, and the kids setting off is a good capture of an all-too-familiar bittersweet feeling!
